![]() *Replacing the hard drive with another (again, nothing) *Installing with a DVD instead of USB (no change) ![]() ![]() *Adding "nomodeset" to edit the installation (no change) *Booting in both legacy and UEFI mode (no change) There is no error message, just a black screen, a logo, or the loading process stops mid-text. *Using a different OS (so far I've tried Linux Mint 20, 19.3, 18.3, Ubuntu MATE, and Manjaro) These all fail but will hang at different points before reaching the Live ISO desktop. *Using different image writing programs (Etcher, USB Image Writer, Startup Disk Creator, Unetbootin) *Checking the USB stick by installing to another computer (it's fine) but never any further as upon making a choice the screen will hang before it ever reaches the live ISO desktop. Booting from this I am able to get to the initial splash screen (Install, compatibility mode, OEM, Integrity check) etc. I've disabled secure boot and have made a live ISO of Linux Mint 20 (Cinnamon). I've been trying to get Linux Mint 20 (or any Linux Mint, for that matter) up and running on my Acer Aspire E15 (E5-576-392H).
